100 ways college students are using ChatGPT
Chats to learn new things, jump start a career, and navigate college life
Early in 2025, we invited 70 college students to teach us how they were using ChatGPT. We met weekly online as a group and they showed us their best chats, highlighting the ones that were the most useful. They also learned a ton from one another.
It quickly became clear that these examples could help more students. So we expanded the group, began testing and ranking the chats, and compiled the top 100 into a resource for students everywhere.
Other people like educators and parents will find this collection just as useful.
The book
There’s also a printed book with all the chats. Students are handing out copies at 50 colleges and universities across the U.S. and Canada.
We may print additional copies in the future — leave a comment if you would be interested in one!
Thank you to all the students and creators who contributed to this resource. ✨

I loved contributing to this what a dream
As a librarian and member of the campus AI Task Force, I’m interested in a copy or two for my community college.
